Private Internet Access is expanding our VPN network coverage with a new VPN Network Expansion Plan. Over the past several years, one frequent request from our customers has been more gateway options and we’re proud to announce that our VPN network expansion plan is underway to greatly expand our VPN network.

As is standard in the PIA network, these dedicated, bare metal VPN servers utilize 10Gbit connections to our premium transit carriers to ensure world class connectivity and are only used by Private Internet Access. Private Internet Access takes the security of its VPN server network very seriously and will never allow other VPN services or any other services to run on the same servers. Additionally, All of our servers are on the ground in their reported locations – and are not virtualized servers that are faking their location.

Private Internet Access is constantly monitoring for changes in laws that might make these locations non viable for no logging VPN servers as has happened previously to our now shuttered Brazil, South Korea, and Russia server locations. Additionally, we continually evaluate our choices for data center partners and will seek new partners if they prove to be untrustworthy, as happened with LeaseWeb in Germany. Privacy is our priority and no log VPN servers are the only type we will ever run.

Private Internet Access unveils ten new server locations

The ten new countries that now have VPN servers ready for our users to connect to are:

  • Albania
  • Bosnia
  • Bulgaria
  • Estonia
  • Greece
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Moldova
  • Serbia
  • Slovakia

All of our servers are ready for our users to connect via WireGuard® using our open source clients and apps.

Private Internet Access will reveal an additional ten new server locations

Additionally, Private Internet Access is working to add ten new exit gateway locations in ten new countries over the next month. This will bring our new total to a whopping fifty servers, giving our users a plethora of locations to route their encrypted traffic through – and we will continue to expand from there.

You can always view the latest status of the PIA network by visiting the PIA network page – on that page you’re able to run speed tests to find the best region for your use. We truly cherish the loyal support of our customers and will continue to push forward with our VPN Network Expansion Plan. Stay tuned for news about the next ten countries to be added to Private Internet Access’s network.
